Children with intellectual, sensory, physical and emotional disabilities or specific learning difficulties are catered for within the Special Needs Program. This program provides an Individualised Education Program (IEP) which sets objectives, monitors and evaluates their individual progress while catering for their personal needs. Programs are devised by a support team which may include people within the educational and medical systems. Children are supported within the classroom situation by an integration assistant in consultation with the classroom teacher.

St Patrick's has for a long period of time used computers as teaching tools in the classroom.
At the end of 1996 the Fr. O'Dea Technology Centre was established with 16 powerful
multi-media computers enabling whole class or small group use.
All pupils K-6 use the centre for a wide range of learning activities including keyboard
skills, problem solving, spelling, mathematics, the sciences, interactive learning, word
processing, reference and publishing. Access to the Internet is provided to all computers.
In 2004 Years all were joined to the school intranet and are now linked to the Diocesan Castnet system.
The integration of Information Technology with our traditional curriculum has enhanced the
learning opportunities for our children.

St Patrick's School has an Italian Language Program that includes children from K-6.
The program is family and community based with great emphasis placed on the importance of
the extended family in the Italian culture. Liaison with local Italian community groups,
namely, the Alpini, Trevisani, Figli Del Grappa and Vincentine Del Mondo is an integral
part of our program and community involvement in school activities is always most welcome.
The program aims to broaden the children's knowledge of the Italian culture and language as
they progress through the school. It is through knowledge and exchange of ideas that
understanding between cultures is fostered and nurtured.
